I don't suppose you can provide any details of the type of flying you're doing ?
I know my son can't say a great deal publicly about what he does but you'd find the stories fascinating if they were told.

Great story! I started with the same ideals as yourself (a lot less educated in my job though) I pulled the pin after baulking at the appalling conditions on offer! I was flying with a bunch of fellas, about eight of us, all of the fellas that stuck with it ended up in the airlines, they all took fairly different routes BUT THEY ALL MADE IT. It took some of them a good ten years to get in though............PERSISTENCE is the key.

Flying mostly contract charter with the odd RPT run when the Brasilia has low numbers. Routes through the NT, WA and East Timor.
